Veasna Duong, MD, PhD, has been working at the Virology Unit, Institut Pasteur du Cambodge since 2005.
Currently, he is the
Head of Virology Unit since August 2020. His unit conducts three mains research programs: Arboviruses, Respiratory viruses, and Zoonotic viruses and other emerging viruses. His main research work focuses on arboviruses and zoonotic viruses. With arboviruses, he is involved in both research and surveillance activities.
Dr. Duong has particular interest in conducting research on emerging zoonotic viruses including Coronavirus, Nipah virus, Arenavirus, and Hantavirus and in detection of new viruses circulating in wildlife at the interface with humans.
