Why IMED?

Emerging infectious diseases are now, more than ever, at the center of the world’s attention. IMED 2021 will bring together leading epidemiologists, scientists, clinicians, and policy makers in the fields of animal, environmental, and human health. These many voices will showcase novel solutions, cutting edge science to improve pandemic-preparedness, as well as share knowledge to better detect, prevent, and respond to outbreaks of emerging pathogens. Join a diverse group of colleagues from around the globe as they present new knowledge and breakthroughs in our One Health community. IMED 2021 will be a fully virtual conference.

Who will be there?

All are welcome! Attendees join us from many professional circles, including:

Health Information Technology, Informatics, Public Health Surveillance Coordinators, Epidemic Intelligence Analysts, Data Scientists, Strategic Information Staff, Public Health Laboratorians, Public Health and Medical Epidemiologists, Nurses, Physicians, Veterinarians, Research Scientists, Microbiologists, Virologists, Toxicologists, Emergency Preparedness Professionals, Emerging and Reemerging Diseases Specialists, Environmentalists, Policy Makers, Biosecurity Professionals, Non-governmental and Governmental Organizations, Community Healthcare Workers, Ministry of Health Workers, Public Health Specialists, and other One Health professionals.

How long will sessions be available?

Sessions will be available to registered attendees for 3 months after conclusion of the conference.

How will I attend?

Once registered, attendees will receive unique links to login to the conference during the program. By registering for the conference, individuals also opt in to receive updates and information about the event and other ISID activities.

*By participating in IMED, you grant ISID the right to photographs, video, audio and/or electronic reproductions of events and activities for use in ISID print and digital materials.

Registration fees in US $ can be paid either by bank transfer or by credit card (American Express, Visa, MasterCard only!) Bank transfers should be made without charges to the beneficiary, payable to “ISID.”

Registration fee for all delegates include:

  • Participation in the scientific program
  • Any virtual planned conference networking activities

The International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID) acts as agent only and will accept no liability for personal injuries sustained by or for loss or damage to property belonging to conference participants, either during or as a result of the conferences. It is, therefore, recommended that participants do not travel or gather for any aspect of this virtual conference. Only written arrangements are binding. Sole venue is online and virtual.

Cancellations must be sent in writing to the  ISID conference office. A full refund, minus an administrative fee of $75.00 USD, will be granted for cancellation of registrations on/before October 1, 2021. No refunds will be granted for cancellations received after October 1, 2021. It is possible to replace a cancelled participant.

LMIC fees only apply to delegates/students that are citizens and who CURRENTLY reside/live in a LMIC.  If you are temporarily based in the US, the fee does not apply. You must enter your permanent LMIC mailing address.
