Natalie Hall
Florence Bascom Geoscience Center, US Geological Survey, USA
Dr. Natalie Hall has a particular interest in all things microbial, including urban stormwater denitrifiers and her current focus on harmful algal blooms (HABs). Dr. Hall is leading a study at the USGS to develop and implement a hyperspectral imaging system for the monitoring and analysis of algae that contributes to HABs remote sensing research. As part of this effort, a HABs hyperspectral library is being developed to manage and archive spectral profiles. Born and raised in South Africa, Dr. Hall has experience in a variety of fields including physical science, military analysis, and business.
