Mr. Jimale is one of three Incident Managers of COVID-19 Preparedness and Response in Somalia, as well as a senior public health specialist and lecturer who has been working in both the academic and health systems of a country in a classical context of fragile and very limited resources for the past ten years. He is a qualified Medical Microbiologist with experience in the academic sector and public health as well as clinical laboratory systems. He has multiple TOT experience in the fields of Lecturing, Andragogy, Curriculum Development, Public Health Emergency Management (PHEM), Public Health Emergency Operations Centre (PHEOC), International Health Regulations 2005 (IHR), Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA), Antimicrobial Resistant/Use, Sphere project, Water Health and Sanitation (WASH), One Health Initiative (OH), Biorisk Management (BRM), Risk Assessment in Health (RA), Laboratory Quality Management System (LQMS), District Health Information Management II (DHIS2), Somali Health System Strategic Plan I & II (HSSP I & II), Essential Packages of Health Services (EPHS) and many others. Mr. Jimale is well-traveled and experienced in working under extreme pressure, as well as being a great team player.
